Kevin Cronin says he’s “disturbed and hurt” after being left out of an upcoming REO Speedwagon hometown reunion concert in Champaign, Illinois.

The one-off show, scheduled for June 14, will bring together six former members — Neal Doughty, Alan Gratzer, Bruce Hall, Terry Luttrell, Mike Murphy, and Steve Scorfina — for a retrospective night of music and memories. Proceeds will benefit genitourinary cancer research through the REO Speedwagon Foundation.

Noticeably absent from the lineup is Cronin, who addressed his exclusion in a Facebook comment after fans noticed his name missing.

“The organizers... chose a date when it was public knowledge I was already booked with Styx and the Kevin Cronin Band in Oregon,” he wrote. “Bottom line, I can’t be there in person — and now I’m being falsely accused of turning down the invitation.”

Cronin added that he feels “knowingly excluded” despite his decades-long role in shaping the band’s legacy. He also expressed disappointment that longtime REO bandmates Dave Amato and Bryan Hitt weren’t invited.

After REO Speedwagon stopped touring in late 2024 due to “irreconcilable differences,” Cronin continued performing with the final touring lineup. He’s now on the road with Styx and Don Felder, playing Hi Infidelity in full.
