Congratulations to Steve Miller Band and Brian Eno. You’ve made something culturally significant!
Fly Like an Eagle and Eno’s Microsoft Windows Reboot Chime have been added to the National Recording Registry.
The National Recording Registry is a collection of sound recordings deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant by the Library of Congress.
Each year, 25 recordings are selected for preservation to ensure they are permanently available to future generations.
The selections span every genre and era of American life—from music and radio broadcasts to historic speeches and sounds that have shaped the nation’s identity.
