The Beatles first set the rock concert attendance record with their world famous Shea Stadium concert August 15th, 1965. Over 55,600 people attended that concert and the record stood until 8 years later on May 5th, 1973. That’s when Led Zeppelin roared into Tampa Bay and rocked the Tampa Stadium filled with 56,800 Floridians.
