I’ve worked with Bikers Against Child Abuse, BACA, for years back in Texas. This is an amazing charity that I can’t say enough good things about. Not only do they work non-stop to prevent child abuse, when they hear of an abused child they go to personally protect those kids and help them feel safe again.
The President of the BACA Bay Bridges Chapter, Memphis, sent us a message about their fundraiser that also does much of their local publicity to try to raise awareness and to help more kids and families. If you ride anything, you are welcome to join. If you’ve been looking for another reason to ride, this should be at the top of your list.
Plus any donations you make are tax deductible too.
Here’s the message Memphis sent us:
“Good Morning! My name is Memphis. I am a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse. I have come to ask for your help. Our local chapter is hosting it’s one and only annual fundraiser event on November 14th. Every dollar raised goes to support the wounded children we serve. However, the fundraising facet of this event is secondary. Raising awareness of our organization and reaching more children, as a result, is paramount... We could not do what we do for these kiddos without the support of the community. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Lastly, just so you are aware, B.A.C.A. is a 501(c)(3) and any donations to the organization are tax-deductible. Thank you!”
Here’s the flyer for the local chapter’s ride coming up Saturday November 14th.
And here’s an informational video about the organization as a whole.
