Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen is selling part of his massive guitar collection. “The Rick Nielsen Collection”, will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and take October 24th through Julien’s Auctions.
The collection includes two 1958 Gibson Explorers and a 1963 Guild Merle Travis, one of only three ever made. Nielsen also owns three custom five neck guitars, including the stage-played 2004 Hamer “Five Neck” Korina, which will be offered for sale publicly for the first time ever in this landmark auction. October 24th....if I only had a spare quarter of a million dollars to buy one of these. Will be fun to see who snatches these up, and everyone loves the St Jude organization.
