Thankfully this “deal” is so wonky practically nobody will do it. Now I know for a fact at least 1 person will, because this is the universe we occupy now, and free sandwiches for life are worth a lifetime picture of a sub on you.

But here’s where it gets even stranger. You can’t just go get a tattoo of a footlong sub on you. It has to be a specific tattoo, from a specific tattoo shop in Las Vegas, and it has to happen tomorrow between 11 and 5. That’s right, you have to go to Bad Apple Tattoo in Las Vegas, NV, and get one of these 3 options, (and they’re designs already chosen, so you don’t even get to draw your own):

• 12″x12″ Subway Series tattoo imprinted on sternum or back: Subway footlong sandwiches for life awarded as $50,000 worth of gift cards which may be redeemed at participating Subway® restaurants.
• 3″x3″ Subway Series tattoo imprinted on shoulder blade, forearm or calf: Subway footlong sandwiches for one (1) year awarded as $4,380 worth of gift cards which may be redeemed at participating Subway® restaurants.
• 2″x2″ Subway Series tattoo imprinted on wrist, bicep or foot: Subway footlong sandwiches for one (1) month awarded as a $372 gift card which may be redeemed at participating Subway® restaurants.

And don’t forget the ‘fine print’ part: Due to the nature of this Program (and the time required to create a tattoo) a maximum of one (1) 12″ tattoo will be offered and a combined maximum of eight (8) 3″ and 2″ tattoos will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Notice how ONLY the 12 inch BY 12 inch tattoo qualifies for a “lifetime” of free sandwiches, and there’s only 1 person who can get that, and that “lifetime” is actually just $50,000 in gift cards to spend until they run out! Remember too that a Subway sub can run around $7-$10. Which means that you’re getting a sandwich a day at most, and if you add chips and a drink its even less than that.

They don’t say how long you have to keep the tattoo though, so maybe after it heals you can totally get it covered up, but I haven’t seen the designs they’re offering and maybe they’re super hard to cover.

In the fine print you can see that only 9 people will be allowed to do this in TOTAL. But I’m sure by tomorrow I’ll have an update on however many people actually did this and let you know, hopefully with pictures lol.

Of course all of this is just to get free viral promotional value out of media outlets such as myself, and for that its working. But at the end of the day will it make you want to eat at Subway more?
