Whether you’re a fan of Slipknot or not, their frontman Corey Taylor is a musical madman. He can sing and perform multiple genres of music and always sound legit. He’s not just a metal screamer than many have pegged him as. He’s also one of the nicest guys I’ve ever hung out with, but those are stories for another time.

His latest album CMFB...Sides drops today and features 9 tracks, some acoustic, some live, and 7 of which are cover songs. I’ve included videos of his versions of Lunatic Fringe and On The Dark Side.

The tracklist reads as follows:

01. Holier Than Thou (METALLICA cover)

02. All This And More (DEAD BOYS cover)

03. Kansas (acoustic Corey Taylor solo song)

04. Shakin’ (Eddie Money cover)

05. Home/Zzyzx (STONE SOUR) (medley) (live)

06. Lunatic Fringe (RED RIDER cover)

07. Got To Choose (KISS cover)

08. Halfway Down (acoustic Corey Taylor song)

09. On The Dark Side (JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND cover)

Here’s an amazing acoustic cover of Lunatic Fringe with a banjo and guitar.

And here’s John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band’s On The Dark Side.
