January 8th 2021 the new Sammy Hagar and The Circle album “Lockdown 2020″ was released.

Back in March of 2020 Sammy and The Circle started their “Lockdown Sessions”.

Each band member recorded their parts at home, video and audio.

The tracks were all assembled and put out on social media.

They started with a song The Circle had been doing at sound checks.

Then they did tracks from The Who, Bob Marley, Little Richard, Buffalo Springfield and even Van Hagar.

Somewhere along the way they decided to release the tracks as an album.

I spoke to drummer Jason Bonham about the album and more.
