The Red Hot Chili Peppers teased a new single coming out soon with a short audio clip of Eddie. Its a tribute to Eddie Van Halen. With an intro guitar riff that is %100 Chili Peppers and sounds almost like By The Way, the clip leads into part of the first verse before it cuts off. Thankfully this is the Chilis being the Chilis, and they’re not trying to capture Eddie’s or Van Halen’s sound and emulate it. They’re paying their respects by being them selves and I, for one, can’t wait to hear the whole track. The full song will be released tomorrow, and will appear on the band’s 2nd full album of 2022, Return Of The Dream Canteen which is due out before the end of the year.

When John Frusciante rejoined the band in 2019 they almost immediately had to go on hiatus due to the pandemic. But when they started jamming and writing again they had so many songs come out of the process that they felt they had to release 2 double albums back to back. Which is why they dropped Unlimited Love a few months ago, and Return Of The Dream Canteen will hit the world soon.
