AC/DC were a band before Bon Scott joined and changed their direction, and sound, forever. And for the better! Their original lead singer was a guy named Dave Evans. And in a recently unearthed interview with Malcolm Young he describes how bad Dave was by saying that everybody cheered when Dave left the band. At first I thought it was a little harsh, until I heard their song “Can I Sit Next To You, Girl”. Its not that the song is super bad, but if this is what AC/DC had continued on with, none of us would know who they were today because it sucks. For AC/DC I mean. Some people may actually like the song, but its not AC/DC, and we’re all better for it being lost to time. You can find Malcolm’s interview in the new Coda Collection, which features a ton of video from all the different AC/DC eras and much more.

Somehow a video of that Dave Evans song still exists so you can listen for yourself, if you want to.
