Just because you can’t get enough...
Before the game, a reporter for Fox 29 in Philadelphia was excited to announce that for the first time ever, cops in New Orleans greased the poles on Bourton Street. Philly does it to prevent fans from climbing the streetlights. (Here’s the video.)
The conspiracy crowd was out in full force again. “#Rigged” immediately started trending after a questionable call went against the Eagles in the first quarter. People claimed the refs were in the tank for Kansas City, but then the Eagles crushed. So that got shut down pretty quick.
“Barstool Sports” posted a round-up of Eagles fans who couldn’t spell “Eagles”. It’s been a trending topic since the mayor of Philadelphia spelled it wrong last month.
Photos of concession prices at the game were all over social media. Two that made headlines were a $59 cocktail and a $100 Caprese Crab Salad.
Fox’s Super Bowl scorebug caught heat online. People thought the graphic at the bottom of the screen was boring, like they’d used a free font or something.
