Listen To Isolated Vocal Tracks From Robert Plant Singing 5 Led Zeppelin Songs

It’s almost like you’re in the studio with him.

The other day I posted an isolated track from Tom Petty singing “I Won’t Back Down.” Well today I found a treasure trove of Robert Plant isolated vocals from Led Zeppelin’s studio time. Someone stripped out the vocals from “Whole Lotta Love”, “Stairway To Heaven”, “Since I Been Lovin’ You”, “Ramble On”, and “Heartbreaker”.

What I really like is if you listen closely enough, you can hear Robert either cough, or laugh at certain times. Little sounds that are too quiet to be heard with the other tracks playing, but in that soundproof room with just Robert, these little nuances are audible. You can even hear, and this is the same with Tom Petty’s vocal, that they aren’t some of these modern perfect singers who have studio magic tuning them up, or do a thousand takes of 1 line to get it perfect. They let Robert’s soul, and sometimes a slightly off key note, just happen. It reminds youof how raw and human making music used to be, and in my opinion should still be. Sometime you can even hear the other instruments here and there, and I think it might be bleeding out from Robert’s headphones he wore while recording.

Check out these vocals from one of the world’s greatest rock bands.

Whole Lotta Love”

“Ramble On”

“Heartbreaker”

“Since I Been Loving You”

And of course “Stairway To Heaven”
