I got to see Sammy singing with Van Halen on their 2004 reunion tour. This was fully 20 years since Sammy originally joined the band so he wasn’t as much of a madman on stage by then. But he recently posted a video of him on Van Halen’s 5150 tour, with him on the catwalks of an arena, hanging off the top rail, and swinging around like he was invincible. Which, after reading some of the bands autobiographies, I’m pretty sure a few members of the band were feeling invincible on stage during those tours for...reasons.
