Motley Crue Are Dropping A Sweet 40th Anniversary Cassette Box Set For Record Store Day In June

Do you even have a tape deck anymore? Either way these will be super cool to own.

Record Store Day is an annual day to celebrate indie record stores with super exclusive band releases from artists in every genre. This year there are two day’s happening in the summer for RSD, June 12th and July 17th

. Motley Crue have a 40th anniversary cassette box set coming out for the June 12th RSD with cassettes of their first 5 albums, Too Fast For Love, Shout At The Devil, Theater Of Pain, Girls, Girls, Girls, and Dr. Feelgood. And I’m pretty sure this box set will only be available on June 12th because they’re only releasing 1,750 of them, according to the official RSD site.

Of course Motley Crue are just one of the hundreds of releases planned for both days. There are 450 planned RSD releases, and many of them are exclusive and won’t be available any other time unless you find one on eBay from a collector or something and have to pay through the nose to get it.

Locally in the Tampa Bay area these stores are on the list to participate, however there is no guarantee that the release you want will be at any store. The stores themselves independently choose what they want to carry and sell on those days, so you may want to call ahead and see if your local store will have the release you want.

These are only the stores in Tampa proper, click over to this link for all the surrounding communities because there are a bunch of stores in almost every neighborhood.
