Metallica show causes small earthquake

During Metallica’s M72 World Tour concert at Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium on May 8, 2025, the collective energy of the 60,000-strong crowd jumping to “Enter Sandman” was so intense that it registered as a small earthquake on the school’s seismological observatory.
