Listening To 80′s Music Can Keep You From Going Bald, and Lower Stress. This Is Science People!

No, seriously, someone did some science on this and its true.

Stress sucks. So does going bald. So does listening to bad music. What do those have in common? Well, usually nothing. But today I found someone else’s science stuff that says that listening to good music, namely 80′s pop and metal, can actually reduce your stress and keep you in luscious flowing locks for longer.

How do I know? I don’t! But I’m not a doctor, I just play one on the radio. However some real doctors played doctor in real life and learned some cool stuff.

According to a clinical study done by Turkish hair restoration company Vera Clinic (even fancier European doctors) the type of music you listen to can help reduce stress which in turn can help you keep your hair from falling out. Which we already know is science. But what is “good music” you might ask? Well according to me, 80′s rock pop and metal are the best. But don’t take my word for it. Take the doctor’s words for it.

The clinic wanted to “look at the connection between music, stress, and hair loss,” and they studied over 1,000 people listening to different playlists. The playlist of music that actually helped reduce stress and blood pressure, and therefore leads to less hair loss, is an 80′s pop mix. And 80′s hard rock/metal is up near the top too because that helps relieve stress with the loud angry awesomeness of 80′s metal. Here’s the actual playlist they used.

So there you have it, classic hits can keep you healthier and with better hair than other music, so crank it up and make sure the neighbors are listening to it with you.
