The Eagles Have Kinda Been On Tour And Are About To Launch A 50th Anniversary Run

The Eagles had originally scheduled a spring 2020 Hotel California Tour that was obviously postponed due to the pandemic.

They finally started to play some of those shows this year, but so far have only played 9 cities. Now their rescheduled Hotel California Tour is slowly morphing into their 50th anniversary tour, which they will kick off in the UK in June of 2022. So far the Hotel California leg of their tour started in late August and has only played shows in New York, Boston, D.C., Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, St. Paul, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Most of those cities got 2 or 3 night runs though. They still have a 2 night run in Seattle, and then this tour is over, I think. Next, the band is headed across the pond to kickoff their 50th anniversary tour, and just added a headlining gig in London at the BST (British Summer time) concert in Hyde Park, with Robert Plant and Allison Kraus supporting.

The band is touring with basically their full lineup, with the obvious exception of Glenn Frey. Glenn’s son Deacon is sitting in now, along with Vince Gill, and original Eagles Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit. But are they going to add more US dates for their 50th and play cities they didn’t on the rescheduled Hotel California Tour? We all hope so, and I’ll let you know as soon as they announce anything.
