Astronaut Megan McArthur Will Be Rocking Metallica And Ozzy On Her Way To Her Falcon 9 Space X Rocket

This Friday morning’s launch of Crew-2 on the Space X Falcon 9 rocket will be the first time NASA astronauts have launched on a used rocket. And at least one of the astronauts is ready to rock!-et into space. The entire crew will be woken up at NASA tonight around 11:09 and begin pre-flight checks and run throughs. At around 2:34 AM tomorrow morning they will hop into 2 Teslas which will take them the few miles from the operations center out to the launch pad. On that short, but final, trip before launching into space for 6 months Megan will be jamming some Metallica, Ozzy, Foo Fighters and more. She is now my personal favorite astronaut, and I’d be happy to have her join us at any concert in the area she may want to go to! (I bet she could get backstage passes too lol)

Check out her playlist that she tweeted recently:

But Megan isn’t the only one with rock in her blood. Fellow astronaut Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency shared his Spotify playlist that includes Kenny Loggins Danger Zone, Guns N’ Roses Paradise City, and Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.

Good luck to all the astronauts tomorrow!

If you’re curious here’s their full pre-flight schedule.
