Fallon Harris, 37, has been charged with the murder of her son Kaden Ingram. She is being held without bond in jail, WBBM reported.

In court documents, prosecutors said Harris had questioned her son about her car’s memory card that she had removed from the vehicle Saturday.

Video recorded inside Harris’ home showed Harris holding Kaden at gunpoint, telling him to give her the card. Prosecutors said she shot him because he didn’t give her the card. Video of the gunshot was not captured, but the sound of the gun firing was, WBBM reported.

Kaden could be heard crying after the first shot, The Chicago Tribune reported.

Officials said Harris then went to answer the phone after shooting her son. After answering the phone, she came back to him demanding the SD card, prosecutors said. When he didn’t give it to her again, prosecutors said she shot him a second time. The second shot was captured on video, WBBM reported.

Kaden collapsed to the ground, the Tribune reported. His father found him unresponsive in the kitchen.

Kaden died from multiple gunshots to the head, the medical examiner said, according to the newspaper.

Prosecutors said Harris admitted to family members that she shot her son because he didn’t give her the memory card, prosecutors said. Family members reported the shooting to police, who found Kaden on the floor of the Harris’ home.

Harris admitted to police that she had shot her son and led authorities to the gun, The Chicago Tribune reported.

Harris had shown paranoid behavior, according to family members. She had a concealed carry license and two guns, prosecutors said, according to WBBM.

If convicted, Harris faces a possible life sentence, news outlets reported.
