According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 3:30 a.m. call of shots fired and found Baglio mortally wounded by several gunshots, WWL reported.

Both Trace and Tommy Ray Pigott were in the custody of the New Orleans Police Department by early Sunday morning, WVUE reported.

Trace Pigott faces multiple counts, including second-degree murder, while Tommy Ray, who the sheriff’s office confirmed was present at the shooting, is facing a count of principal to second-degree murder. Both men left the scene of the shooting, the TV station reported.

Baglio was featured recently by The Advocate in an article about the Livingston Council on Aging’s new kitchen, in which he helped prepare between 400 and 600 daily meals for area senior citizens.

Baglio, a resident of Independence, Louisiana, launched his tribute artist career in Tangipahoa Parish before becoming well known throughout the Southeast for his performances, WVUE reported.
