The CPSC said the recall involves the LG 86-inch smart televisions and stands.

The televisions can be unstable when they’re on the stands and could tip over, and injure a child.

The televisions were sold at several stores including Walmart, Best Buy Costco and Amazon from March through September for between $1,100 and $1,900, the CPSC said.

The following model numbers are part of the recall:

  • 86UQ8000AUB
  • 86UQ7070ZUD
  • 86UQ7590PUD
  • 86NANO75UQA

The televisions are 86 inches when the screens are measured diagonally. They are 43.5 inches high, 76 inches wide and 2.4 inches deep, weighing about 100 pounds.

The serial numbers, which can be found on the bottom right back of the television start with:

  • 202RM
  • 203RM
  • 204RM
  • 205RM
  • 206RM
  • 207RM
  • 208RM

If you can’t see the back of the television easily you can also check the serial number by pressing the mute button three times quickly on the LG remote that came with the TV.

Owners of the recalled televisions are being told to remove the stands and place the television in a safe location away from children and then reach out to LG for replacement screws and stand parts, as well as help from a technician for a free repair. If you have the television mounted to a wall, then you can continue using the TV.

You can text “STAND” to 256-888-9977 or call LG at 800-243-0000 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET daily. You can also email the company or visit LG’s website.
