Watch An Emotional Tribute To Eddie Van Halen From His Guitar Tech

This one is much better than the Grammys for sure.

After what most fans are calling at best a disappointing “tribute” to Eddie Van Halen during the Grammys “In Memoriam” segment this year, it might make you feel better to watcha genuine tribute from someone who knew Ed better than most, his guitar tech for many years, Tom Weber.

Another guitar tech friend of mine shared this on Facebook and I felt like everyone could use to hear this. In this short video Tom shared that the guitar isn’t the only thing he and Ed had in common. They both had fought cancer in their lives. So to say this is a heartfelt and powerful message is still underselling it. Maybe this will encourage the next EVH to pick up a guitar and start playing. Maybe that’s you. Either way, just play.
