See If Your Name Made The List For The 2021 Hurricane Season

As we, hopefully, head out of the 2020 Covid season, and into the 2021 hurricane season, the annual list of storm names was just released. Last year was such a busy storm season that we overran the names list and went into the Greek Alphabet they use when they run out of people names. There’s an actual United Nations organization that names the storms every year, and they come up with a list of 21 names which is perfect for 2021. But because they’ve retired two of the Greek names, starting with 2021 there is a list of supplemental names they will move to if we run out of that year’s list, instead of the Greek names which won’t be used anymore.

Here’s this year’s list:

Anna, Bill, Claudette, Danny, Elsa (going to make some kids pretty upset if Elsa is a bad one), Fred, Grace, Henri, Ida, Julian, Kate, Larry, Mindy, Nicholas, Odette, Peter, Rose, Sam, Teresa, Victor, Wanda. (One of these is my ex mother-in-law’s name so I don’t have high hopes there...)

Here’s a short video about why they have names to begin with.
