Jack Black Made A Video Begging Led Zeppelin To Use ‘Immigrant Song’ In ‘School Of Rock’

Led Zeppelin are, thankfully, very picky about who can use their music in film, TV, really practically anywhere. So when Jack Black and the makers of the iconic movie School Of Rock were really wanting for a hugely pivotal scene, they knew they would have to go the extra mile to get the approval of the remaining members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones. So they made a video literally begging the band for their approval.

And it worked! Zeppelin reportedly loved the video and gave their blessing and the rest is music and movie history. Here’s the scene from the movie that was made whole with the inclusion of Zeppelin’s screaming Immigrant Song.
