World famous Beatles tribute 1964 is appearing at The Mahaffey on Friday, March 7th!
In 1964, history was made when Ed Sullivan introduced The Beatles to America in New York City and to the Napoleon Ballroom of the Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach. "Great Britain's cultural gift" to the United States became one of the most influential music groups in the world.
There will be a celebration of sorts of the 50th anniversary of that moment. "1964"...TheTribute, described as "the best Beatles Tribute on Earth" by Rolling Stone, will perform on The Mahaffey stage at 8 p.m. March 7. The show once again dazzles a whole new generation of fans while staying true to the memories that many have held dear over the years. The quartet has successfully recreated the concert experiences of The Beatles from the pre-Sgt. Pepper era - from wardrobe to hairstyles, Liverpool accents, singing nuances and vintage instruments.
Artists Mark Benson as John Lennon, Mac Ruffing as Paul McCartney, Tom Work as George Harrison and Bobby Potter as Ringo Starr will perform a song list that might include those on the original live show: "She Loves You," "This Boy," "All My Loving," "I Saw Her Standing There," "From Me to You" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
