The first Florida stop for the “Lay Down with Number 13 World Tour” is St. Petersburg at The Mahaffey Theater, Tuesday, April 30 at 7:30pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 11 at 10:13am.

The iconic American rock band also announced the March 19 vinyl release of the live album, Wiser for the Time (Silver Arrow/Megaforce Records), which contains four vinyl albums with 26 songs from the band’s five-night, sold-out New York City 2010 appearances. The never-before- released versions will also be available as a double album digital download.

Chris Robinson (lead vocals, guitar), Rich Robinson (guitar, vocals), Steve Gorman (drums), Sven Pipien (bass) and Adam MacDougall (keyboard) will be joined by Jackie Greene on guitar and vocals.

The Black Crowes, formed in 1989, released their first album, Shake Your Money Maker, the next year and followed up with The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion that reached the top of the Billboard 200 in 1992. After a hiatus, reunion and change in the lineup, they released Warpaint, in 2008, which landed at #5 on the Billboard chart.

A second hiatus and return in 2010 commemorating the 20th anniversary of their landmark Shake Your Money Maker album resulted in the all-acoustic album, Croweology and the “Say Goodnight to the Bay Guys Tour.” The Black Crowes were also inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame that year.

Voted by Rolling Stone readers as the “Best New American Band” in 1990, the Black Crowes have sold more than 20 million albums and is #92 on VH1’s “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.”
