The MainStreet Speakers Series is a community lecture series that provides an open forum for the exchange of ideas, opinions and perspectives. The Series is presented each fall and spring semester and generously sponsored by NorthStar Bank. The Speakers Series is held at The University of Tampa on the 9th floor of the Vaughn Center which overlooks beautiful downtown Tampa. The series is open to the public, although advance registration and payment is requested.This edition of the MainStreet Speakers Series will be hosted by Peter Skarzynski. "Scaling Innovation: Lessons from Organizations Large and Small" Peter C. Skarzynski is Managing Partner and founder of ITC Business Group. He advises large, global organizations on strategy, innovation and organizational change and is recognized as a leading expert in enabling organizational renewal and growth through innovation. He has led and delivered client work in Asia, The Americas and Europe.Before co-founding ITC, Peter was CEO, Chairman and a founding Director of Strategos, a firm initially Chaired and founded by Professor Gary Hamel.   A frequent corporate and conference speaker, he has also written thought pieces for The Wall Street Journal, CEO Magazine and The Drucker Foundation. His best-selling book, Innovation to the Core was the first to describe how large organizations can build and sustain a company-wide innovation capability. Peter holds a BA (with Special Honors) in Policy Studies and in Economics and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago.
