Please join us to celebrate the birthday of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 21 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Lewis House on the Eckerd College campus. We will learn about Rev. King’s life and how he changed the lives of so many. This event features a panel discussion with Roy Peter Clark of the Poynter Institute, Freedom Riders David and Winonah Myers, and others whose lives have been affected by the legacy of Dr. King. Eckerd College music professor Joan Epstein will present a remembrance of Bojangles. The program includes a special tribute to Eugene Patterson, recipient of the 1967 Pulitzer Prize for his 3200 editorials urging southerners to accept equality among the races.Free and open to the public.
