NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR
TOM ROBBINS
TEACHES MASTER CLASS ABOUT WRITING FICTION
ST. PETERSBURG, FL—November 29, 2012—Legendary author Tom Robbins is
emerging from his quiet cocoon in the Pacific Northwest and flying from Seattle to
Florida to conduct a master class in writing fiction on February 23, 2012, hosted by
WordSmitten Media, Inc.
Robbins, known for his almost hermit-like life and an author who rarely appears in
public, is teaching a Saturday workshop in the downtown seaside hamlet of St.
Petersburg, Florida. “This is a rare event,” said Kate Sullivan of WordSmitten Media,
host of the writing conference. “To have him teach a fiction workshop is an uncommon
event for him, and wonderful for us to have Tom Robbins be part of our 7th annual
fundraiser. We anticipate that we will be sold out before the early registration ends.”
Advance registration (a discount of 50%) ends December 31, 2013. For more
information, visit www.About-the-Books.com or register online at Eventbrite at
http://wordsmitten-tomrobbins.eventbrite.com/
Robbins began his career as a journalist in Seattle and his first novel, Another Roadside
Attraction, became a runaway bestseller.

His second novel, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, expanded on themes that women
embraced, and his recent book, for both children and their parents, is a story about folks
who find dreams through an adult beverage (B is for Beer).
A fundraiser for literacy programs for children in the Tampa Bay area, the event benefits
the Bookworks program of Goodwill and the United Way program, Reading Pals.
