Voices of Strength is an annual event hosted by the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay in collaboration with the Sexual Violence Task Force and hosted by the Carrollwood Cultural Center, dedicated to empowering survivors through a creative lens. At Voices of Strength, survivors have the opportunity to express themselves through poetry, art, music, dance, comedy, and writings about the journey of recovery from sexual violence and the transformation into empowerment.  If you are a survivor and are interested in performing, please contact Marilyn Shamblin at mshamblin@crisiscenter.com. All participants will have a 3-5 minute window of presentation, but there is a limited number of open positions, so please RSVP today! A silent auction will take place during the event to raise funds for future workshops and events. The items to be auctioned consist of survivor-made artwork, jewelry, and other miscellaneous items.
