The Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College (ASPEC), a unique community of lifelong learners and sponsor of the ASPEC Public Forum Series, invites you to attend their next Forum presented by The Honorable Bill Foster, Mayor of St. Petersburg. The Forum will be held at Lewis House on the Eckerd College Campus, on November 28, 2012 at 4:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Mayor Foster is one of four prominent local leaders to give the “Inside Scoop” on what's happening in Tampa Bay. Bill Foster is a fourth generation native of St. Petersburg who dreamed one day of being mayor of this great city. His dream was realized on November 2, 2009 when he was elected to lead Florida’s fourth largest city.Before serving as Mayor, Bill Foster spent nine years on St. Petersburg City Council, and was Council Chairman for two years. He led a community effort to preserve Sunken Gardens as a city-owned botanical attraction. Over the years, his public and community service has led to positions on the Pinellas County Tourism Development Council, the Pinellas Planning Council, the Florida International Museum, the Suncoasters, the Pinellas Planning Council, Junior League Advisory Board, St. Petersburg History Museum and more.An attorney with Foster and Foster by profession, he graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, and was a Northeast High School graduate of the Class of 1981. He is married to Wendy Holt Foster, and together they have two teenage children.
