Description:
Join us as we enjoy a performance by Mandisa Roeleene Haarhoff, one of the recipients of a Fulbright Scholarship. "Crush-hopper" is about a girl from south eastern Africa who is raised by her grandfather and who dreams about marrying a boy who is of a different race. This multi-award-winning production will awaken the audience to aspects of race and cultural identity in a creative and engaging manner. After the show, learn more about Mandia Roeleene Harrhoff and the Fulbright Scholarship that brought her here from South Africa at the interactive session. Then, join us for the reception where you can meet Mandisa Roeleene Haarhoff and other visiting scholars as well as faculty and students from USF who have had Fulbrights in other countries to learn about their Fulbright experiences. Refreshments will be provided.
