Jury Rules In Favor Of Led Zeppelin In 'Stairway To Heaven' Case

A LOS ANGELES jury has decided that legendary rock band LED ZEPPELIN did not steal the opening to its classic anthem "Stairway to Heaven" from a tune by the band SPIRIT, NBC NEWS reports.

The trust for late songwriter RANDY WOLFE claimed LED ZEPPELIN guitarist JIMMY PAGE and singer ROBERT PLANT used a riff from SPIRIT's 1968 instrumental "Taurus" in the intro to "Stairway To Heaven."

More details to come.
